Awhile ago I posted about a hike at Smith Rock State Park on the Misery Ridge Trail out here in Oregon. We camped on some public land near the Painted Hills and left to hike the Sheep Rock unit containing Blue Basin, the Thomas Condon Paleontology Center, and the James Cant Ranch, and of course we explored the Painted Hills.
This area of eastern Oregon is truly magical. My photos only capture a small part of this vast landscape and I encourage everyone to go out and explore their homes, and beyond, and truly appreciate what mother nature has to offer.
There are some photos towards the end of some deer bones near our campsite so if dead things make you sad don't scroll all the way down!
